Introducing the Aruba AP-505 Access Point (R2H28A), a high-performance indoor access point engineered to elevate your wireless network experience. This access point is equipped with dual radios, supporting both 5GHz and 2.4GHz 802.11ax, leveraging 2x2 MIMO technology to ensure maximum data throughput and coverage. It is an ideal solution for high-density environments where reliable and fast connectivity is crucial.
The 5GHz radio supports two spatial stream Single User (SU) MIMO, offering wireless data rates of up to 1.2Gbps with 2SS HE80 802.11ax client devices. Meanwhile, the 2.4GHz radio provides two spatial stream SU MIMO, delivering wireless data rates of up to 574Mbps (287 Mbps) with 2SS HE40 (HE20) 802.11ax client devices. This high capacity and flexibility are further enhanced by the capability to support up to 16 BSSIDs per radio and up to 256 associated client devices per radio, ensuring robust performance even in the most demanding environments.
The AP-505 supports a wide range of frequency bands, including 2.400 to 2.4835GHz for the 2.4GHz band and 5.150 to 5.850GHz for the 5GHz band, depending on the configured regulatory domain. This versatility is complemented by advanced radio technologies such as Direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) for 802.11b, Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) for 802.11a/g/n/ac, and Orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) with up to 8 resource units for 802.11ax.
The supported modulation types include BPSK, QPSK, and CCK for 802.11b; BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM, and 256-QAM (proprietary extension) for 802.11a/g/n; BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM, 256-QAM, and 1024-QAM (proprietary extension) for 802.11ac; and BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM, 256-QAM, and 1024-QAM for 802.11ax.
The Aruba AP-505 supports a variety of data rates, with 802.11b offering rates from 1 to 11 Mbps, 802.11a/g from 6 to 54 Mbps, 802.11n from 6.5 to 300 Mbps (and up to 400 Mbps with 256-QAM), 802.11ac from 6.5 to 867 Mbps (and up to 1,083 Mbps with 1024-QAM), and 802.11ax offering rates from 3.6 to 574 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and from 3.6 to 1,201 Mbps on the 5GHz band.
The device also features advanced throughput and efficiency enhancements, including packet aggregation capabilities (A-MPDU, A-MSDU) for 802.11n/ac/ax. The transmit power is configurable in increments of 0.5 dBm, with a maximum aggregate, conducted total transmit power of +21 dBm for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands (excluding antenna gain).
Additionally, the AP-505 comes with two internal omni-directional antennas with 5.7 dBi gain, ensuring comprehensive coverage and consistent performance across your wireless network.
