The Ubiquiti ECS-Aggregation is a powerful Layer 3 enterprise switch designed to deliver next-level performance for modern, high-bandwidth network environments. At its core, the ECS-Aggregation delivers a switching capacity of 3.6 Tbps and total non-blocking throughput of 1.8 Tbps, with a forwarding rate of 2.4 billion packets per second (Bpps). The switch is equipped with 48 25G SFP28 ports and 6 100G QSFP28 uplink ports, making it a high-density solution ideal for aggregating multiple access switches or serving as a high-speed backbone in distributed environments. With Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG) support, it offers redundancy and load balancing across devices, reducing single points of failure and enhancing network stability.

The ECS-Aggregation includes two hot-swappable AC/DC 550W power supply units and five hot-swappable fans, ensuring uninterrupted performance and ease of maintenance. These redundant components are essential for mission-critical operations, enabling the switch to remain online during servicing or component failure. It also supports a wide AC input voltage range and is capable of efficient heat dissipation, maintaining reliable operation even under heavy network load.

In terms of software functionality, this switch supports a rich set of Layer 3 features including static routing, inter-VLAN routing, DHCP relay, and DHCP server capabilities. These functions enable streamlined communication across different segments of your network, improving performance and reducing latency. Layer 2 features include STP/RSTP, LACP, port isolation, MAC and IP-based access control lists, DHCP snooping and guarding, IGMP snooping, loop protection, and support for voice VLANs—ensuring granular control over network traffic and security.

Administrators can take advantage of the UniFi Network application (version 8.5.6 or later) for centralized monitoring and management, while the built-in 1.3" touchscreen LCM display provides at-a-glance diagnostics and device status updates. The unit is built using durable SGCC steel for both enclosure and mount, with robust ESD and EMP protection for enhanced resilience in challenging environments.
