The Ubiquiti Wave Pro Radio (Wave-Pro) is a high-performance point-to-multipoint (PtMP) base station radio designed for the 60 GHz mmWave band. Engineered for high-density deployments and fiber-like wireless performance, the Wave-Pro delivers multi-gigabit throughput and ultra-low latency over short to medium distances, making it ideal for internet service providers (ISPs), enterprises, and smart city applications. As a core component of the Ubiquiti Wave platform, it ensures seamless scalability, centralized management, and reliable, interference-free broadband coverage.

Operating in the 60 GHz spectrum with a backup 5 GHz radio, the Wave-Pro uses mmWave technology to transmit data across short-range links with very high bandwidth and low interference. It supports throughput of up to 5.4 Gbps, which can be distributed across multiple Wave Nano or Wave Long Range (Wave-LR) subscriber stations. The Wave-Pro features a built-in, high-gain beamforming antenna with a 90° beamwidth, allowing it to simultaneously serve multiple clients within its coverage area. It includes an integrated GPS module for precise synchronization with other Wave Pro units, allowing for frequency reuse and reduced self-interference in dense deployments. Its gigabit Ethernet port supports 802.3af PoE, streamlining installation with a single cable for both power and data.

The device integrates fully with UISP (Ubiquiti Internet Service Provider) software, providing network administrators with powerful tools for remote monitoring, provisioning, and performance analysis. UISP also enables zero-touch provisioning and seamless firmware management, helping reduce maintenance time and operational costs.

Ubiquiti’s use of 60 GHz mmWave with 5 GHz failover ensures that the Wave-Pro delivers high uptime and reliability. In the event of signal degradation due to weather or obstruction, the system automatically falls back to the 5 GHz link to maintain connectivity, ensuring uninterrupted service.
