MikroTik hEX S RB760iGS Router

The MikroTik hEX S  is a powerful and versatile Gigabit Ethernet router designed for scenarios where wireless connectivity is not needed. With a dual-core 880MHz CPU and 256MB of RAM, it offers exceptional performance for advanced networking configurations, all managed by the RouterOS operating system. This device, part of the MikroTik hEX series, sets itself apart from the standard hEX router by featuring an SFP (Small Form    -Factor Pluggable) port and PoE (Power over Ethernet) output on its fifth Ethernet port, making it a suitable choice for various networking needs.

Equipped with a 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, the hEX S supports a variety of wired connections. It also includes an SFP cage for fiber optic connections, enhancing network versatility. The fifth port not only supports standard Ethernet but also provides PoE output, capable of powering other passive PoE devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit.

The device supports IPsec hardware encryption with a throughput of approximately 470 Mbps, ensuring secure and efficient data transmission. Additionally, it includes The Dude server package, a network monitoring and management tool, for comprehensive network oversight.

The hEX S features a microSD slot that enhances read and write speeds for file storage and the functioning of The Dude server. It also comes with a USB 2.0 port for added connectivity and flexibility.

With two DC input options, the hEX S can be powered via a DC jack or PoE-IN, accepting a wide voltage range from 12V to 57V. The passive cooling system ensures reliable and silent operation. The PoE output on Ethernet port #5 supports both 802.3af/at standards, providing power to connected devices.
